How was Mercury Retrograde for you?

So we have all survived gone through another Mercury retrograde period.  Now for those of you who are not well acquainted it is one of the two astronomical /astrological things I take note of,
the other being a full moon.

Mercury retrograde is one of those things that even die hard
anti-astrology people tend to heed.
The planet Mercury literally goes back on its own orbit about three to four times a year and it lasts about a month and it usually creates a bit of havoc, delays, and wires get crossed. But it's not all bad, it is a good chance to catch up on things and people and regroup.

No I don't believe in werewolves but if the full moon can affect oceans then I don't see why it is odd that being mostly water ourselves we are also not influenced by this.  Even the police and emergency services always keep abreast of the moon's cycles as accidents and also happy incidents such as births peak on a full moon.

But Mercury retrograde is a time where I try not to start or finish anything and technical things like computers go haywire.

But this one was quite an interesting phase.

Google reader after all that kerfuffle is still working which was a nice surprise.  It was all so Y2K for awhile wasn't it?
I wonder how much longer Google reader will last though...

You never know who is reading your blogs apart from comments and emails but then again I am such a newbie blogger I still don't know how these things really work.

So it was a pleasant surprise when the doyenne of the Australian blogging world, Faux Fuschia, said that she liked The Lime Walk and my blog on of her posts!

Anyone watching the White Queen which is a book written by Philippa Gregory?  If not - you should.
The War of the Roses is not only a movie about divorce but was a historical period with such drama that if it hadn't actually happened - it would have sounded far-fetched.

I finally knew what it must have been to have been on the side of power and then lose all influence and regain it all again...

You see, Kevin Rudd the Australian Prime Minister follows me on
Twitter ...Mind you he also follows 423,595 other people.

He followed me back when he was PM the first time around but then when Julia usurped the position I lost all clout...

But even though he is back in power - he still follows me.

Just on a sidenote, he lost his seat to Julia Gillard during a Mercury retrograde phase and he regained it during Mercury retrograde.
I know Ceasar met his fate during the Ides of March but I am still convinced it must have been Mercury retrograde as well!

But a note to all my Aussie readers, please don't send all your lobbying requests and complaints right now as he is kinda busy right now. ; )

  1. That explains why everyone is a bit fractious at the moment, including me... Not to mention tired and emotional!

The full moon is a very bad time to injur yourself... Injuries can take far longer to heal.

I'm longing to hear more about the Mayr clinic.....

    1. That is my story and I am sticking to it! Yes I am going to write about my Mayr experience and results etc soon - but ironically I am so tired from it plus I am moving right now so I am soooo overwhelmed. But PS you are so right about full moon and injuries - when I used to do yoga - they would always do shadow yoga on a full moon to prevent injuries. But it is a great time to cut hair and color your hair however!

  5. My mother used to faithfully read her horoscope each day. Then it occurred to her that if it was in fact accurate she would not want to actually live those days in which bad things were forecast so she gave it up.

    1. Funny enough I don't read my horoscope at all but I also google the MR phases and the full moon but normally the crazy feeling predicts it for me :)

  9. Well since you diagnosed me with this paranormal condition during my blogosphere absence, I'm all for believing in its strong influence. Why couldn't it cause something magnificent though, instead of bringing me misery - typical! So in answer to your question, it was a bit crap, but I THINK I've recovered now! Xx

  11. Hello Naomi .... You ask about the Mercury Retrograde ... it's as if everything has suddenly all fallen into place!!! So where to begin .... 1.NO wifi for two and a half weeks. 2. I contracted Pneumonia and I should rather say "struck down".... still recovering!. 3. My poor hubby has been 'struck down' with a terrible Shingles attack.

It MUST all be the fault of the Mercury Retrograde.... I have been missing my blogging, and have been so house bound of late but worst of all - we were meant to leave yesterday for Canada/Alaska :(( ..... Now I'm really sounding sorry for myself :)) .... We are still hoping to make the Alaska bit and today I have decided to go for full hair and make-up! Thanks for the Lime Walk mention! xxx

  12. I've always suspected that K Rudd is rather well read. No wonder he's been following you. It takes a lot more to produce words than just a reader. So well done Matie... Can't wait for Mayr Report! xx MM

    1. I tweeted something about him when he lost his seat and his assistant must have just chose it. Having said that Karl Rove stopped following me - honestly you would think I tweet all day although I rarely do! But quite funny all the same- the Mayr report will come next week xx I cant find my camera...
