French Vogue Part 1 - Fashion Accessory for 2015

I will be posting a review on the French February issue of

Vogue but just wanted to point out the latest trend styles by the editor and
street style blogger Emmanuelle Alt herself.

Can you see a little pattern?

Yes, it's the rope belt.
Looking at the photo credits the rope belt has been produced by Hermes, Isabel Marant, and a brand called KLJ.

It's nice but you could just go to your local hardware store.

You could also get some tools to store your shoes a whole new way.

Now you owe me a few drinks after I saved you so much money.

P.s. Doesn't this "sweater" below definitively prove that
Phoebe Philo definitely did all the heavy lifting while
Stella and her  were in Chloe?

  2. Hello Naomi,

You always have such a sharp fashion eye.

Cannot say that we are entirely roped in with this new look.........but we have always found hardware shops fascinating!

    1. Oh...DaniBP... you took the words right out of my mouth. I was thinking of Jethro and Elly May...and their rope belts. Sometimes fashion is sublime and sometimes it's ridiculous...guess that's where that expression (from the one to the other) comes from.
      P.S. I love Phoebe Philo...always have done.

  4. Hello Naomi, I do love your round ups. My French Vogue has just arrived but I haven't read it yet. Not sure about the rope belts... did you see the Hermes windows with ships and ropes and portholes etc last year? Thought they were very lovely. Will look forward to the fashion review to come. Xsue

  5. That's really funny, Naomi. I'm feeling a bit of a bathrobe vibe from the latest styles.

    1. It is a bit loose fitting on a lot of the outfits.

  6. I did a rope belt in 1978. That was enough!

  7. Those shoes remind me of the early 90's and Groove is in the Heart. Just need a pucci print catsuit to go with it!
Laughing at the Rope belt. I'm sure the designer ones have been produced by Tibetan monks in very limited editions or something!!

    1. Ha, too funny...And made from organic yaks hair, and knitted by moonlight knowing the Hermes marketing mentality.

    2. I remember that video! I am surprised Pucci hasn't made its rounds yet - maybe next season Heidi!

@Anon - yes I notice Hermes likes yaks even in its ad campaigns!
