Spring is here and don't you think pink is her color?
I like this pink Emilia Wickstead ensemble.
I like this pink teapot cupcake.
I could imagine wearing that outfit while eating that cupcake while sitting on these Cath Kidston oilcloth covered chairs.
Underneath this pink cherry blossom tree of course.
But it wasn't all pretty little things in the park, those masochists
who pay to pretend to be in the British Army were
out in full force all over the park.
Millie was also doing her daily exercise fetching
her stick in the serpentine. Don't worry I had her on the leash so she couldn't chase the swans.
While dropping Millie off at my brother's flat,
I saw that his next door neighbors moved in.
While taking a walk in his area, I saw this sweet boutique called Tatty Devine that handmakes their jewellry pieces.
They manufacture the goods on the spot.
I had the best salt beef bagel ever in Brick Lane!
You just have to try it if you are nearby.
I have been enjoying smaller dishes.
Not that I am eating less but am liking more of the smaller portions.
Fish tacos never get old.
I would make these lovely fish finger sandwiches if I could be bothered. But I'm not so I guess I just have to go to Brown's.
What do you think of the interior decor of the house below?
You can be honest because it's only a doll house.
I lost my bid on this 1920's army jacket.
It was heavy as heck and had the itchiest fabric but the buttons and the little inscriptions intrigued me.
But I lost by a tenner.
But I did get lucky and got this table in a junk shop.
I asked to pay for it and pick it up another day but they resolutely said no.
I knew I would regret not buying it so I lugged it with me to lunch with a friend.
We had this beer that had a frozen head that was like popping crystals.
We then went to have tea.
Luckily they had a table free for us although it wouldn't have been a problem as I had my own as well.
I just realized that I haven't had a break since I started blogging.
I also think my brain needs a digital detox so I will be away for a fortnight and back in the beginning of May!
See you all then xx
I hope you enjoy your digital detox, I need one of those right about now too. Spring feels like just the right time for one!
ReplyDeleteLove your new little table. xox
My brain is feeling a little fried right now for so many reasons!! Thanks Dani xx
DeleteI guess that's one way to make sure you can eat at the best places! Enjoy your break Naomi!
ReplyDeleteThose fish finger sandwiches had mushy peas as a sort of spread and is a great party snack - thank you Patricia!
DeleteLove these posts, I'd have zilch to show, life wise for pics, I could never Instagram.

Yes you are right!!! yes it is the oldest bagel place in London - see you very soon xxx
DeleteHello Naomi,
ReplyDeleteWell, pink to make the boys wink is what they used to say so, given your candy floss collection of pink here you should be in for a great time during your blogging break!
It is so funny that once a ray of sunshine appears for more than two days running, we all reach for dishes which make us think of warmer climes, sand and beaches. Your bagel and tacos look wonderful but could one do better than the fish finger sandwich....we think not! Gazpacho for us now all the way to winter!
Have a lovely time during your technological shutdown. You deserve it. We have only just discovered you but shall miss your sunny posts and witty take on life's absurdities. Hurry back!
Gazpacho sounds lovely but doesn't taste quite the same without the heat and the sun! Thank you both and I shall try and come back with renewed cortexes!
DeleteOkay Mrs. CSW, now that I just discovered your brilliant work, you are going to up and leave for a spell, well fuddy-duddy to all that. Enjoy your time away from the madness; buy a Hermes scarf; we all eagerly await your return…
ReplyDeleteWell TGF - shall only be a short spell. I am going to try and unpack and get some work done in the meanwhile but shall still be sneaking in reads from everyone most likely!
DeleteLoved the pink theme at the beginning of your post and it sure sounds like April is going very nicely for you. The fish tacos look rather yummy, haven't had tacos in a while. I wish you a lovely restful break Naomi. Catch up with you in May and be sure to post lots of photos on Instagram so I can live vicariously through you for a few weeks xx
ReplyDeleteI hope we both come back after a break together in early May then??? cough cough hehe xx

DeleteLoving the pink!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI actually love it all year round!
DeleteAll the best for your two week blog break! The pink is bewitching - and that teapot cupcake a work of art. Your new table looks like a fascinating piece of furniture bling. Will soon be travelling (Germany, France, Singapore) but will try to keep up with your blog when it's possible, have been enjoying so much. Pammie xx
ReplyDeleteAre you not coming to London??? Would be a pity to go all the way to France and not drop by Pammie! Are you on instagram by any chance? Let us know if you are xx
DeleteWas in London last year with Faux Fuchsia and Hobart Housewife et al, on the Garden Tour. Fabulous! This time with husband who at this stage doesn't want to go to London (we once lived in UK for 5 years and were married in Cambridge). But we'll see. We'll be in Paris for 3 weeks. Not on Instagram. On account of being so old. Haven't caught up with all latest digital offerings. Pammie xx
DeleteI completely understand that Paris may be a nice change and another language besides English being spoken can be a refreshing change but if you ever feel like popping over on the eurostar please let me know! PS joining instagram is easier than facebook and there is no age limit there :) xx
DeleteHave been on Facebook just over a year I think. Younger friends and family convinced me - and I really enjoy and share lots of photos of travels. But haven't a clue about Instagram. Pammie xx
DeleteInstagram is like Facebook but shorter! Xx
Deletehopefully see u in June xx
ReplyDeletefingers crossed Cilla xx

DeleteDo people eat the pink cake teapot?? Love the table.
ReplyDeleteYes they do! Thanks Mary I hope the table suits a room though...
DeleteLovely pink things - thanks for your lovely posts- always beautiful pics. Have an enjoyable break. Tonkath
ReplyDeleteThanks Tonkath and see you back in May!
DeleteA digital break is a good idea for everyone. I was just reading an article about how we are all losing our ability to recall info b/c of all the time we spend online getting it instantly. And printed text is easier to read and retain than digital,-something about the light from the screen.
ReplyDeleteThat being said I look forward to your return. We will Think Pink in the meantime
I think that I have been on the net more than ever bc of the stress with the house and just feel I need to give my synapses a proper work out rather than googling everything that pops into my mind! I meant to say that I thought your post today was so well written and from a very new perspective.
DeleteOh thank you!
DeleteOh I just love these shades of pink you selected. I'm going to take my kids to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden tomorrow so we can see what's in bloom, I hope the cherry blossoms are out! I definitely need to see a lot of pink in person. I also love very pale pink peonies, my absolute favorite flowers ever. Thanks for the lift on TAX DAY. Ugh. XO, Jill
ReplyDeleteI love soft pink and I think that's why cherry blossom is one of my faves...I haven't been to that garden and next trip I hope to make it. I feel for you and hope everything is filed and done for you Jill! Xx
DeleteLove your Instagramy posts - I also love the shades of pink. The fish taco looks delicious - best fish taco I had was in Maui...I feel dreamy just thinking about it. Too bad about the army jacket, but I'm sure another one will crop up again (I figured that after being on Ebay for years - something else always comes up, and it's very rare that I regret "the one that got away"!!). Good for you for going on a digital detox. I wish I could do that but have a couple of projects that will keep me tied to the computer for the next month of so. Have a great month off!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI need to ebay soon but in real life these things don't come up so I had to lug the table everywhere with me! See you in May x
DeleteCupcakes, tacos, beer then tea-- we all need to hang out with you!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy unpacking and arranging your renovated place-- such a pleasure.
Love the Dolls' House. Did you put a bid on that? Have a happy digital detox. I loved my blogcation. Blogging and a bit of texting are about the extent of my digital life.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your detox! xx
ReplyDeleteQuite Frankly She Said - UK Lifestyle Blog
Firstly, the pink teapot cake is adorable. I've always had a thing about teapots and I have a smalll collection but I've never had a teapot cake! I'm admiring the attention to detail in the dolls' house and also the intricate table top - quite a find! Enjoy a relaxing break.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty outfit, could see old kate in that
ReplyDeleteLove your table Naomi! Looks like you've had some nice weather and fun. I am so with you and ready to detox digitally too! I am behind on reading your lovely posts and off to catch up. Enjoy your break sweet girl!

I think we are all feeling the same with travel and posts and trying to keep up with live Naomi. I hope you are enjoying your time away and a little digital detoxing. Love the pink-truly her color.
